Hi! I'm Roberto but some people know me as Throwboy. I'm a multidisciplinary artist based in Seattle, WA. My story of Throwboy goes back to 2007, when I hand-sewed a set of throw pillows shaped like computer icons that went viral and crashed my website. This event sparked the idea to make a new kind of throw pillow company that focused on playful, yet cool designs that let people celebrate the things they love. From retro computers, to brand logo collabs, to the original Emoji Pillows, I'm been fortunate to be a part of evolving online culture with my quirky home decor.
Today I operate from my retail store and workshop in downtown Seattle where I cut fabric, sew and stuff each pillow that is shipped to your doorstep. Maybe you found me in your social feed, a tech blog, from my art installation the Selfie TV or heard about my work from a friend, either way I thank you for finding my corner of the Internet. I hope one of my designs will bring a smile to your face and you'll realize you need one in your home.
